While the Great British Summer may largely have been a wash out, temperatures have soared at Percayso over the past few months as we cranked up activity in response to requests on the back of a hugely successful few days at BIBA.
We were blown away with the interest shown in our newly launched Percayso Vehicle Intelligence (PVI) proposition, and our mobiles and emails ran hot with more requests for help following the action taken by the FCA instructing a leading motor insurer to carry out a review of total losses where vehicles have been written off to identify any policyholders who received unfair settlements and provide them with appropriate redress.
Our head of vehicle intelligence, Kieran Fisher, discussed the issue at some length with Alastair Walker of Insurance Edge back in July, honing in on how offering accurate values from the get go can really pay off:
And in a further conversation with Mia Wallace of Insurance Business, Kieran, highlighted an exercise that PVI had recently undertaken with one top 10 insurer to demonstrate the accuracy of its valuation service:
Amidst all this, we were quietly (but busily!) working away on a new funding round which culminated in a second major investment led by industry veteran Neil Utley, and our existing venture capital backer, Praetura Ventures. In case you missed the news – well, some of you may have been on holiday after all!) – you can read more about it here:
In the current environment, where some may be finding it challenging to secure new backing, this investment is a huge endorsement of the value that our proposition is delivering to the insurance industry. Neil was happy to talk about it with Mia Wallace of Insurance Business not long after the deal was announced:
While the days may be cooling, the heat is still going to be on at Percayso as this investment will enable us to accelerate numerous plans for new product development. The ever growing pool of data available to insurance providers is stimulating a vast array of ideas amongst the team to see how we can use this data to help you write better business – so watch this space!
